Sudan Health Transformation Project (SHTP)

The Sudan Health Transformation Project (SHTP) targets increased access to and utilization of health, water, and sanitation services to improve the well-being of children, mothers, and families. The project, funded by USAID, is being implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. in collaboration with the Secretariat of Health of the Sudan People’sc Liberation Movement (SPLM).

Local and international NGOs have been awarded sub-grants for the continued delivery and expansion of Primary Health Care (PHC) services. SHTP will facilitate the health management capacity strengthening at the Secretariat of Health and at the county levels. Epidemiological surveillance training for the county officials will be conducted in collaboration with the CDC.
